Candidate Profile:
- Candidates should possess Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering from four-year college or university and 1-2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- This position is responsible for product design drawings, including layout, certified, and detail shop drawings.
- The design drafter is proficient in creating and maintaining Bill of Material (BOM) in the Materials Resource Planning system.
- He/She performs routine design calculations from Engineering Standards and Practices.
- He/She assists other departments to resolve problems in manufacturing, quality and assembly.
- The Design Drafter will be proficient in CAD like AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Inventor (Optional), office productivity software, and office procedures.
Job Description:
- Design and drafting, product design and modification, layout certified and detail drawings.
- Create and implement ECO’s to products and families of products.
- Create and maintain Bill of Materials, and work with Bill of Material generator systems.
- Provide design, drafting, and product change support to teams, and other departments.
- Provide support to resolve product, manufacturing, and assembly issues.
- Create and maintain design files and planning systems.
- Use standard office software (word processing, spreadsheets, etc).
